Fellow of Anglican Leadership Institute #1

Matthew chapter 5, verse 14 says, “You are the light of the world:” the light which will shine for years to come and the light which will enlighten the minds and hearts of millions. Rev. Peter Moore is the light of the world, the kingdom created by God Himself. In true sense, if we try to find the image of ‘An Angel’ Rev. Peter is the one.

The day I got the sad news through email, I tried to convey my message of condolence to you all, but frankly speaking, I was not able to write down a single line.  My mind and heart had just stopped.

I remember those days, when I first landed in Charleston airport; He was the first person who came forward with a big smile and a warm hug.  Though a whole new country for me, I felt from my heart after meeting Rev. Peter that a ‘Father is waiting for his son’.  I melted at that very point.  During the whole stay in A.L.I, his words of encouragement, smile, energy, leadership skills motivated all of us into a new dimension. One fine day during the morning hours while having a walk in Sullivan beach, I asked him “Rev. what is the secret behind your jolly, energetic nature as I know you are above the age of 70yrs?” His answer was very simple “If you are filled with Spirit and when you are working for the kingdom of God, you are always at the highest point”. And it’s true in nature as we have learnt a lot from him especially me and Rev. David Booman as we were the youngest in the whole batch of A.L.I.

The Light which was passed down to us from Anglican Leadership Institute, the Light which we witness is still burning in your hearts and minds. The seed which was sown by Rev. Peter Moore in your minds is growing every day forming into a beautiful tree called ‘The Kingdom of God’. The image of Rev. Peter Moore will be alive for generations to come. He is the pioneer of modern Christianity.

God Peace and Mercy be with his family and near ones in this time of grief.

May the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in Peace and will rise in Glory. Amen.
