I met Peter on the tennis courts of the I’on club in Mt. Pleasant-SC where I used to teach tennis.  Peter was a very good tennis player and he had played all his life.  His one-handed backhand needed some work so he began taking some lessons with me.  We quickly became friends which led to different conversations.  I had a Catholic background but was not practicing my faith.  Peter and I had a few conversations about religion and he casually invited me to an Alpha course at St. Michaels church in Charleston-SC.  He guided me through the course and brought me back to faith.  He was a very busy man at that time but he always found time to reply my emails and continued to encourage me when times were hard.  Peter was always available to meet face to face when I needed a friend or a counselor.   We were blessed to have Peter baptize our oldest daughter Leni Grace in 2014.

We moved twice since our time in South Carolina and Peter stayed in touch and was always looking after our family.  We watched many tennis tournaments together and he loved the UGA tennis team.  We remained good friends despite the distance and he continued to encourage me through prayer and occasional meetings.  I am not sure where I would be if it was not for Peter Moore.  I miss him so much and I miss our conversations and his friendship.

My family will always remember him and he helped us so much.  Peter has touch so many lives in a positive way; he was always kind and thoughtful.

Peter finished the journey and he is next to the Father.  I am sure he will continue to look after all of us from heaven and I hope to see him again when the time comes.
